Installation
HBBR Basic installation is packaged in a standard Windows Installer database file hbbrbasic.msi. After purchasing download hbbrbasic.msi from the provided secure link and save it to a local disk. To start installation double click on the hbbrbasic.msi and follow instructions.
HBBR Basic does not require administrator privileges to install. However, there are certain situations when administrator password might be required. One example is when installing on Windows Vista, depending on the settings user might be asked for administrator password.
If the default destination path is write protected then HBBR Basic can be installed somewhere where user has the write permission.
Required standard Windows components:
Windows Installer 2.0 or later
Windows Vista - included with the OS
Windows XP - included with the OS
Windows 2000 - Windows Installer 2.0 Redistributable Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0
Windows 98/ME - Windows Installer 2.0 Redistributable for Windows 95, 98, and Me
Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML)
Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service Pack 7 (SP7) or later
Files installed
Single executable HBBRBAS.exe and optional (required for AT91SAM7 series) Atmel AT91Boot_DLL.dll are installed in the specified path. AT91Boot_DLL.dll is a Windows COM componnent and must be registered to function properly. No system Dlls are copied nor updated.
The default installation path is:
C:\Program Files\HBBR Basic
To install from the command line, go to the directory it was saved in and type command below (your path to the msiexec might be different)
C:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe /i hbbrbasic.msi
Unistall
To uninstall use one of the methods below: Right click on hbbrbasic.msi and choose Unistall from the context menu. From the the Control Panel choose Add Remove Programs then find HBBR Basic and remove it Use command line below from the directory it was saved to:
C:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe /uninstall hbbrbasic.msi
